Life does not happen uniformly

My time with Olivia has just flown by, and like coming home from the hospital with her, I am just astonished that the world has continued to turn and people have continued with their daily routines since mine has been turned upside down. Never would I have guessed how excited I would get to see someone smile, how proud I would be to have someone roll over, or how fun I would find cooing from and to my little baby. I know I post nothing for days and then have three posts in a row, but life does not happen uniformly. What can I say?

Our air conditioner went out on Wednesday, and Olivia and I scorched as we waited for the repairman. I didn't have the camera, so this is from my phone.

The air finally caught up yesterday and we were freezing! Here is a picture of Olivia in her sweatshirt:

On the home front, I find myself becoming more and more like the natives of Alabama. Yesterday I walked barefoot down our driveway to put the trash out while holding Olivia. From the bounty of the farmer's market on Thursday, I made peach baby food. Recipe: peaches. Since I was unable to ever make enough milk for Olivia (and she has a milk allergy even if I had been able to), I had all the milk storage paraphernalia. So I decided to put it to good use. Here is a picture of the pureed peaches. You can see Olivia in the background talking to Rinki. I had been sitting next to her peeling the peaches. Next week, if they are available, green beans!
