All the books say that having a family dinner is good for kids. So, Nicholas and I are trying to be good parents and institute a family dinner time at the table. (We often used to take our plates and eat on the couch, or eat separately if he was late home.) Olivia and I went to the farmers market today and bought squash, cucumbers, peaches, tomatoes, corn, and a watermelon. Tonight for dinner we had rosemary pork chops, Mom's homemade applesauce, and steamed squash and carrots. Here are pictures:


And, today, Olivia did not take any afternoon nap. Here is the attempt to put her down. She is looking up at her butterfly mobile.
