Jason has really grown up this year!
School: Jason is in 5th grade this year at West Lake Elementary school. (Cannot believe this family is almost done with elementary school after 11 years!!) He walks there and home most days. He walks with other boys from the cul-de-sac on the way and usually walks with another set of friends on the way home. Jason's teacher is Mrs. Kelley and he is loving the structure, fun, and freedom of 5th grade. He is also taking Math 6+ online and is handling that really well independently.
Sports: Jason played challenge soccer through the YMCA, and they won their tournament last spring!! It came down to a tie with the tie being broken by penalty kicks. Jason was one of the kids who made a perfect kick and scored!! He was awesome! He continued to play soccer in the fall and he and his team did great then, too! Nicholas continues to coach and continues to think Jason is awesome!
Books: Jason finished the Sythe series this year and has circled back to reading the Inheritance cycle series. He also loves to listen to audio books and has listened to the Harry Potter series and lots of the Ranger's Apprentice series.
Friends: Jason has a great group of friends who sit together at lunch. He has joined the neighborhood "football" group, too, and often plays for hours on Sundays with friends outside and in garages watching football. He is really lucky to have Leo and the other boys in the cul-de-sac to play with at home. He really enjoys his soccer friends, too, when he is at practice.
Other interests: Jason got a 3D printer for Christmas and loves to look up and print new things for people and to sell. He likes to cut things in the kitchen and has become a great soux chef. He has become more interested in watching football, too!
