The rest of trackout! Summer 2019

So much swim team, play time, and being together! Nicholas was able to take two weeks of vacation in June as he left his job at ABB, and we enjoyed having him home! He organized the garage and built lots of shelves. He played with all of us, built a swing set in our backyard, and watched the kids for three days while I flew back and worked at UA in Alabama. Here are some highlights:

We went to Lake Jordan one fine Friday morning...

The big kids and I saw the symphony one evening!

The kids played outside a lot while Nicholas was working in the garage and I was doing daily maintenance—dishes, laundry, food prep, and cleaning.

Swim meets, swim practice, swim team...
Olivia has had a blast! Leo’s in it for the snacks and friends.

We went to Morehead Planetarium at UNC Chapel Hill to catch a show one Sunday! It was a hit!

The garden kept growing...

The swing set is the best thing ever! So much play time!

We made it to the Life + Science Museum...

Jane bought a van, and Olivia is thrilled!

We stuck around our house for July 4th and the neighbors let off a huge fireworks show! All the kids were so excited!

Traditional America jello! ;)

Family Toast!

Nicholas and I got away for a night to celebrate our 16th anniversary at the Umstead! It was so nice to be away to have a chance to breath, rest, talk, and spend time together. And eat delicious food!

  1. There is a lot in this post! Yay for hubby being available for a little while. First - I need to see pictures of the shelves Nicholas built! I love the swing set. That is awesome. The lake looked like it was wonderful. The kids looked so happy with swimming. Maybe in a couple of years we'll do that.
An evening out - it looked decadent!
