And eating this lunch at four in the afternoon
The kids and I made a quick trip west! They were a dream in the car. We only stopped once on the nine hour journey. We listened to a podcast called “The Alien Adventures of Finn Caspian,” and they loved it!
First stop: Mutti’s house! Big build up, but no pictures. We loved spending some time with her!
Second stop: Bill and Tamara’s house! We had a great visit, I thought! Olivia followed Tamara around and everyone played and visited. Only one photo:
Next stop: Huber’s Orchard and Winery where we crashed cousin Luke’s Kindergarten field trip!
We had a great time picking pumpkins, picking apples, and playing together!
We stayed at Mom and Dad’s Thursday night since Stephanie and her kids had school Friday. It was a better visit with Mom, Dad, and Grandma Clara that way!
Luke played hooky Friday and played with the boys!
Then, Aunt Heidi came with Isaac and Asher and we all played!
Friday and Saturday night we stayed with Stephanie and we played more!
We had a great time visiting! It always floors me how much the kids grow between visits. Abby looks like a teenager, Craig gets his learners permit next week, Luke acts like he is Leo’s age, Isaac is so observant, and Asher went along with the rest of the kids in all the activities! This was also the first time in a long time we spent the night with my parents and it was nice to go down memory lane! Thanks to all the family who welcomed us! We love you!
It really was a great trip. I think it might have even topped Madrid as the company was great. I'm so glad we were able to see each other. I really do enjoy the time we spend with one another.
