Marcy and I went back to the house and carved pumpkins, and I must say that we did an awesome job! (The best I've ever done, at least!!)

As for the pregnancy, Charlie was pretty excited about our coming addition. I have the feeling that he is rooting for a boy, though! We'll see! I am sure he will be a great Uncle Chuck!
The baby is about 2.5 inches long now, and my uterus is beginning to move above my pelvic bones. I can definitely tell a tightening around my waist. I've gained back two of the four pounds I've lost, so hopefully the other two will be back soon. I am not into maternity clothes yet, but sometimes I appreciate those empire waist tops that cover the top of my pants so that I can unbutton my dress pants! Here are pictures at 7, 9, and 11 weeks, respectively:

I don't think I had seen a picture of Charlie before. He looks so much like Nicholas! (I don't know why he wouldn't. I just pictured him differently.)
ReplyDeleteThe pumpkins are VERY impressive! Martha could not have done better herself. Or even her army of assistants!
I'm glad you are starting to feel better, I can't believe you are approaching your second trimester already!
