Olivia is 12!!

 Olivia has grown so much in the past year that it seems like 12 just rushed right up to her! She attended Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy for 6th grade, and rocked it. She got straight A's, made friends, did run club, and even got the Science Award at the end of the year! Olivia keeps taking on more responsibility--from riding a bus to SE Raleigh HS and changing buses to get to her bus that drops her at the HS near our school to dog sitting to being in charge of all her homework. She has taken a weekly sewing class this spring and loves it. She loves music and was thrilled with the air pods for her birthday. She loves swinging in the back yard and trips to the mountains.We are so proud of her!

Leo is 10!!

Leo turned 10 on February 1! Leo is such a cool kid who loves to read, play with his friends outside, and play lots of video games inside. Currently, he has been reading the Percy Jackson series and its spin-offs. Leo loves to play kickball, tag, infection, and imagination games outside with his siblings and friends. He is into "Link, Breath of the Wild," "Eternal Cylinder," and "Minecraft" on the Switch and XBOX. Leo loves swords and shields, playing in the ditch in the backyard, and petting his pup, Astro. Leo is in run club and swam on the swim team last year. He loves chocolate--Hershey's milk chocolate--and chocolate milk shakes.

I love the low-key celebrations that the pandemic has forced us into. It's nice not to be so busy planning the perfect party. Instead, we celebrated in the cul-de-sac with chips and brownies and letting the kids have time to run around and play!

Jason is 7!!

 Another year of awesome Jason! This year, Jason finished Kindergarten and began 1st grade in person. His class is in a trailer next to the school and he handles that super well. He walks home from school with Leo and often without me. He and his cul-de-sac buddies walk to school together most days. Jason is a great reader in his class and can read chapter books, although he doesn't choose to do so on his own. This summer, Jason did swim team and came such a long way as a swimmer! He also did soccer this fall, and enjoyed having his dad as his coach! Jason loves video games--especially Lego and Mario ones--and loves playing inside and outside with his friends and siblings. This year, Jason got glasses for screen time and reading. He has also become an awesome Lego builder.
