Lately

Jason made friends with the little neighbor girl, Ellie!

Olivia, Jason, and I met our friend Lisa for hiking at Eno River State Park while Nicholas took Leo on his first fall outing.

Olivia joined running club, which meets after school with the school librarian—an avid runner—to run. He gave us “Strong Is The New Pretty,” and Olivia and I enjoyed reading it!

We did the school “Walley Walk” and Olivia ran and came in as the first girl in the 1.5 mile race!!

We picked huge pumpkins at the pumpkin patch!

And we carved them!

Jason joined a basketball class on Saturday mornings and loves it!

Leo joined Y basketball and really likes it, too! He scored in his first game!

We’ve been enjoying the outdoors and the cooler weather!

And Halloween is almost here!

But, our house is much less orange inside! Bill and Tamara paid for us to paint the ceilings and walls in much of the house and it looks so much better! More pictures to come!

And here is the outside and downstairs! I lightened up the photos on this one since the last ones are so dark. You can see there are about fifteen different paint colors in this house! We are trying to remedy that, so the living room looks a little off as we experiment.

We were super lucky to get this house! Lots of work to do, but it feels like home!
