We sold our (old) house!

Seven years, two babies, fifteen trees planted, tons of love and memories later and we sold our first home on Monday! I hope the new owners love it as much as we did!

Kraft, party of five coming in January!

Wow! We are about to become a family of five!! Baby Kraft number three is due January 15!

This is Baby at 12 weeks, 6 days...today!

This is me at 12 weeks. Getting fat already... and thus why I have not been blogging very regularly...

4th of July trip to Indiana

The kids and I made the trek to Indiana for the first time from NC, leaving on July 3rd at 5:25 AM. That was the way to go because even though the kids didn't go back to sleep, I am a morning person and was pretty faded by the evening.  We stopped at Jane's on the way in to say hello and then spent the rest of the weekend until Monday morning at my sister Stephanie's house. The kids had SO much fun! And we adults got a pretty good visit in, too!

Here are some pictures that I took:

Olivia hugging Leo in the bathroom because he is afraid of the loud hand dryer. Olivia finally taking a nap after I bought a hair band that doubled as an eye mask so she could close her eyes.

At the golf course before "Thunder over Corydon" where there was an awesome, free twenty minute fireworks show. The kids had a blast!! (This was after our 12 hour trek, so I was pretty exhausted by now.)

And after a full day of playing, Heidi and Alex set off fireworks that Dad bought outside of Steph's house! It was pretty cool, too! The kids were super cute! The one of the far right of the picture is my cousin's daughter Lily, who played and played with Olivia and Abby!

For more of what we did, I am stealing my sister Heidi's blog post.

The drive back was pretty bad. We were all tired on Monday and the drive was long. And after all that, Tuesday I realized Leo's cough and fever were maybe abnormal, so I took him to our new pediatrician. He has pneumonia! Poor baby! Both kids fell asleep on the way home. They were worn out from the trip.

Visitors x 2!

Aunt Stephanie, Craig, Abby, and Luke made the trek to visit us mid-June! We had a blast going to the playground, the pools in our neighborhood, and to Pullen Park. Steph let me have some time to check out preschools, so she watched five kids at once...totally super mom!! The kids, as always, did great playing together...even Craig who had walking pneumonia! Here are some of the pictures of the kids at the park:

Olivia loved the swim suit that Abby left her! And Leo wanted me to take his picture, too!

Grandma Dorothy came to visit us a week later, and again the kids had a ball! I enjoyed the help with the kids so that I could do some unpacking and make lots of phone calls, and Nicholas and I got to go out on a date! Woo! Woo! Here are some of the pictures:

A little picnic in a new little place!

Playing on the moving sidewalks after dropping Grandma off!

To head off the let-down of Grandma leaving, we went to a new kids' museum Marbles and got a membership! Love it!

We're getting settled in!

Whew!! We're in our new house!!

Seriously, it didn't take as long as this post would make you believe given that it has been 18 days since my last post. We closed on our house here in NC on June 2, stayed in a hotel one more night since we didn't have a refrigerator in the new one--let alone beds! The next day, Tuesday, the movers came and so did the new refrigerator. I just entertained kids all day, and Nicholas helped the movers and set up beds so that we could sleep in our new house that night. Here are some pictures of our excited kids in the new house!

I still am not quite sure where my good camera is since there are a few places where we are definitely not unpacked: (1) the office, (2) the garage, and (3) the master closets. So all these pictures are backlogs from my phone. I will someday soon find said camera and take pictures of the house! Nicholas's dad and his wife Tamara came to help us unload and unpack and also to bring us more furniture, as this house is 150% the size of our last one! I was SO thankful for the help! While everyone else was unpacking, I was taking kids to this park right outside our neighborhood:

Or to Pullen Park in Raleigh, which is super fun!

Or to the pool and water play area in our neighborhood!

Although the kids' things are unpacked, the first floor is essentially finished, the playroom is almost finished, I feel like there is a lot to be done. We have an entire closet filled with pictures that hung in our old house, and I am hesitant to put any holes in the walls of our new house. I haven't printed off pictures from our last photo session in late March/early April, so I don't have those to hang. And there may be some changes in furniture in kids bedrooms regarding rocking chairs and big boy beds in the near future, so I feel like no room is really complete. Nicholas is still putting up blinds that we ordered, too. But I will take some "in progress" pictures soon!

Here is the playroom and part of Olivia's room from some photos I took and posted on Facebook...for the non-Facebookers.

And, thankfully, we are all making friends. I have the number of a woman two doors down with kids the same age and gender as mine. And on her recommendation, with looking at other places, too, our kids are going to the same preschool in the fall. Olivia is making loads of friends at the pool. Here is one, Bella, who is super sweet. Olivia is in the bikini with the side ponytail. Ha!

In transit

The kids and I took off right after school Friday, and made it to SC around 8:30 Central. Nicholas stayed behind to clran up and pack up the last bits after the movers.

Saturday we got to spend some quality time with our friends from Clemson, playing at a playground, swimming, and eating pizza. So glad we took the day to play!

The last day of school, 2014

The kids ended school Friday...Olivia's last day of 3K and Leo's last day of 1K. They were super pumped for the last day of school party complete with pizza and bouncy houses. They had fun!!

Both kids learned SO much this year!! And grew up so much, too!

Here are pictures with their sweet teachers!
