Fun things we've been doing

Building castles for numbers--Leo's idea!

Visiting RDU's observation deck to see planes take off, pretend to be a plane on a runway, and have a picnic with friends!

Making headway with the baby's room... Ha! We thought when we bought this house that we would have a dedicated office, but now this will ultimately be the baby's room. So, organizing it hasn't been first priority!

Playing dress up!

"Ice skating" in the bath tub!

These don't really fit with this post, but I thought I would give you the lay of the land on the second floor. Master bedroom on left, picture taken from playroom, Olivia and Leo's room on right down the hall, and office/baby room and laundry room on immediate right.

Third floor "media" room--cast off furniture, the big TV, and the record player.

And a bathroom on one side and storage closet on the other side. This is why we have no storage space--because the "attic" is finished!

Olivia went to a gymnastics camp this week! I was SO impressed that she went without knowing anyone, didn't cling to me or cry when I dropped her off, and had a great time! Doesn't this place look awesome! It has a zip line, huge pits of foam blocks they jump in from a trampoline, and lots more! I came late yesterday, so I just got this picture of them reading a story before pick-up. Turned out Olivia had a 101.5 fever at that point. She looked terrible. She doesn't have pneumonia--I know because I rushed her to the doctor in a panic--just a summer cold. No more gymnastics this week!

Our new house -- some pictures

Mom added the side plants. The cable cable is buried now. Bonus to having a TINY lot? The HOA mows the grass!

Walking in the front door then from the living room back into the dining room.

The guest room on the first floor.

Coming in from the garage to the kitchen.

Back porch

The play room in all it's played-in glory at the top of the steps on the second floor.

Second floor laundry.

Kids' rooms are a work in progress because (1) no pictures are up and (2) both have rocking chairs in them which will probably come out soon.

Leo's room

Olivia's room with her new bed that was mine thirty years ago.

We sold our (old) house!

Seven years, two babies, fifteen trees planted, tons of love and memories later and we sold our first home on Monday! I hope the new owners love it as much as we did!

Kraft, party of five coming in January!

Wow! We are about to become a family of five!! Baby Kraft number three is due January 15!

This is Baby at 12 weeks, 6 days...today!

This is me at 12 weeks. Getting fat already... and thus why I have not been blogging very regularly...

4th of July trip to Indiana

The kids and I made the trek to Indiana for the first time from NC, leaving on July 3rd at 5:25 AM. That was the way to go because even though the kids didn't go back to sleep, I am a morning person and was pretty faded by the evening.  We stopped at Jane's on the way in to say hello and then spent the rest of the weekend until Monday morning at my sister Stephanie's house. The kids had SO much fun! And we adults got a pretty good visit in, too!

Here are some pictures that I took:

Olivia hugging Leo in the bathroom because he is afraid of the loud hand dryer. Olivia finally taking a nap after I bought a hair band that doubled as an eye mask so she could close her eyes.

At the golf course before "Thunder over Corydon" where there was an awesome, free twenty minute fireworks show. The kids had a blast!! (This was after our 12 hour trek, so I was pretty exhausted by now.)

And after a full day of playing, Heidi and Alex set off fireworks that Dad bought outside of Steph's house! It was pretty cool, too! The kids were super cute! The one of the far right of the picture is my cousin's daughter Lily, who played and played with Olivia and Abby!

For more of what we did, I am stealing my sister Heidi's blog post.

The drive back was pretty bad. We were all tired on Monday and the drive was long. And after all that, Tuesday I realized Leo's cough and fever were maybe abnormal, so I took him to our new pediatrician. He has pneumonia! Poor baby! Both kids fell asleep on the way home. They were worn out from the trip.

Visitors x 2!

Aunt Stephanie, Craig, Abby, and Luke made the trek to visit us mid-June! We had a blast going to the playground, the pools in our neighborhood, and to Pullen Park. Steph let me have some time to check out preschools, so she watched five kids at once...totally super mom!! The kids, as always, did great playing together...even Craig who had walking pneumonia! Here are some of the pictures of the kids at the park:

Olivia loved the swim suit that Abby left her! And Leo wanted me to take his picture, too!

Grandma Dorothy came to visit us a week later, and again the kids had a ball! I enjoyed the help with the kids so that I could do some unpacking and make lots of phone calls, and Nicholas and I got to go out on a date! Woo! Woo! Here are some of the pictures:

Waiting on Grandma at the airport:

Swinging with Grandma while I got my NC driver's license:

A little picnic in a new little place!

Playing on the moving sidewalks after dropping Grandma off!

To head off the let-down of Grandma leaving, we went to a new kids' museum Marbles and got a membership! Love it!

We're getting settled in!
