Saturday, the boys hung out with Olivia and me until about two o'clock at which time they headed to the Florida vs. Alabama game. (Charlie is a coffee drinker, so I made coffee for the first time in months. Delicious. Now I want it every day.) They had a great time at the game, it sounded like. Roll Tide!

Olivia and I went to the park near here, Sokol Park, with Ringo and Puck and hiked in the woods for an hour. She loved it! Later, after Olivia was asleep, my friend and Nicholas's colleague, Elizabeth, came over and we made quilted Christmas ornaments. SO FUN! Thanks for coming, Elizabeth!!!

Sunday afternoon, Olivia, the dogs, and I went back to the park for another hour of hiking. This is going to be our new weekend thing. Our friend Sylvia joined us with her Old English Mastiff, Fiona. Sylvia knows all the trails, so our hike on Sunday was prettier than the one on Saturday. We walk with Sylvia and her dog most mornings in the neighborhood, and it is getting pretty cold. Good thing there were some mittens and a hat in Abby's 9-month clothes!

Speaking of Abby's clothes, I stuffed Olivia into Abby's first Halloween outfit. She was none too pleased as it was way too small. I could barely button the top button and she had to bend her knees to get into the sack part.

And, today, Olivia and I went to our first story time at the library!!! She loved it! Mostly just looking at the other babies, but you've got to start somewhere! We sang, we did nursery rhymes, the librarian read, then she turned on the bubble machine and the babies who could walk danced! Awesome! The kids were between 3 months and 2 years, so there was quite a range. I met some other moms and checked out some books for Olivia. Success!

And finally, the back slope has been landscaped! Yay! Now we just have to pick up and plant the willow oak we bought for Olivia.

Oh! A willow oak! Just like in Clemson! I miss our walks ... *sniff* *sniff* ... I'm getting quite pudgy!
ReplyDeleteP.S. The look on her face in the lady bug costume is hilarious!
